LOVE....

Happy Valentine's Day to all! On this day dedicated to the expression of love, I would like to say to all of my family and friends, that I love you all very much! I'm so thankful to God for blessing me with such a wonderful group of people in my life. Some I speak to daily, some only occasionally but you're all a very special part of my life. God has truly blessed us all... be sure to tell your loved ones that you love them today. Then tell them again tomorrow... then the next day. Make it a habit! We all want to feel loved and cherished by the people we care about the most.

I wish you love and blessings. Until next time!

A word on kindness

I had an experience today that made me so aware of how important it is to be kind to people. To treat others as you would want to be treated. We spend so much time running around, handling our daily activities, doing all the things that we routinely do, that we sometimes don't think about what others may be going through or what they may be struggling with. Of course we all have bad days, some days are worse than others. We all just get through it. My point is that be mindful of the words you choose, be careful of your attitude toward other people when interacting with them. You can still make your point without being mean and condescending. It's a matter of just basic respect for one another. We can make some one's day so easily by just being respectful. We can also add to what can already seem like an overwhelming situation by being unkind. You leave a lasting impression by the words you choose, by a kind gesture or by just by treating an individual as if "they" matter. Talking down to someone really doesn't make you bigger.

I guess I just want us to take a second and think before we get angry. Think about how you would feel on the other end of meanness. Imagine that this may be your last conversation or interaction with the person. Is being ugly really what you want as a last impression?

God bless!

Babies Babies Everywhere!

Happy Monday... already! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was busy... but enjoyable. Some of the joy came with shooting the little one to the left! Isn't he just the most precious little boy??? He's the son of Kirk and Tashma Glymph. We actually photographed him several months ago when he was I guess about two months old(maybe younger), and I was just astonished at how much he's grown and changed in just a few months! I think he's going to be a pro at posing before long. He's obviously very photogenic. Thanks to Tashma and Kirk for giving us the opportunity to capture his little essence through photography again. I'm looking forward to seeing what he looks like in another few months.

Congratulations to Nikki and Kevin Rountree on the birth of son Tyler born earlier today! I'm quite sure that he's an adorable baby as well. Hopefully we'll get a chance photograph him as a newborn! I'm so happy for you guys.

Also, congratulations to Deilia and Brian Williams on the birth of their new baby girl last weekend. I'm looking forward to her session as well.

Well that's it for now. I wish you a wonderful week and many blessings to your lives.

Until next time~

It's Friday!!!!!

OK.. so its obvious that I am in need of the weekend! :) I can't believe sometimes how fast time moves. Of course even though the weekend is here there's still work to be done. It never ends. I'm determined to take a "real" vacation at some point this year. By "real" I mean.... a trip out of town, preferably a tropical island where I can totally relax and enjoy doing nothing. Right... I'd probably be checking my voice mail and email several times a day! I should start planning now so that I can get everything (that I can) done before I leave.

So I told you guys I would post a photo of my "babies" Nory and Sabi. This photo was taken over a year ago when Sabi hadn't been living with us for too long. Nory was having some "issues" with having a new brother "cat" in the house. :) Now they're partners in crime! It's so funny because they've picked up traits from each other. But, they're the sweetest little boys anyone could want. They're behavior has improved a bit... but I still have to stay on guard.
Well I wish everyone a terrific weekend! Enjoy every minute of it. Until next time ~
