kayce's bridals

So Kayce's wedding was this past weekend and what a beautiful affair it was! Now that Chris has seen his bride in her dress, I can post a few of her bridal portraits. They were shot on a quite chilly day at Furman University a few weeks ago. Kayce and her mom Esther were total troopers. After we finished shooting at Furman we went back to the studio to get a few more portraits. I'm so glad we did because we got some really great shots. Choosing an official bridal portrait was a challenge, so they went with two canvas prints and one framed 8x10. I'd like to say thanks to Kayce and Esther for inviting us to share in such special occasion. It's been a joy getting to know you and I'm looking forward to sharing the photos from the wedding soon.
Until next time... be blessed!

first couple of the year

Kayce and Chris - Engagement
Greenville, SC
December 29, 2007

Kayce and Chris' engagement session was great! This was our first time meeting Chris. They were a lot of fun to shoot. We'd hoped it wouldn't rain because they're original session was rained out...well...kind of. The morning of the shoot it was raining cats and dogs (what does that really mean? :) ) Well, anyway it was pouring. The skies were dark and gloomy. So Kayce and I rescheduled their session. Well by 2pm the weather was just ridiculously gorgeous! By then it was too late to reschedule the original session, (was that confusing?) so we kept this date. Thankfully, the weather was perfect!

I'm looking forward to shooting their wedding on the 26th of this month... our first wedding of the year! As usual, the images you see here are just a few of many great moments captured of the two. Thanks to Kayce and Chris for being so willing to do was was asked of them. You guys make a terrific couple and we're honored that you've chosen us to document your wedding.

Until next time.. be blessed.

2008..Off and Running

Hello All!
I hope all is well with you and yours. I just wanted to check in briefly to let you know what's going on with Dream Image. We're busy booking weddings for the year. Thanks to all of our new clients. We're looking so forward to getting to know you better!
A few weeks ago we were contacted by a fellow photographer about shooting her bridal portrait. What great thing! What an intimidating thing! :) We actually ended up having a great time. It's just such an honor when another photographer seeks you out to photograph them. Catherine was a great client. Of course, it's completely different being on the other side of the camera!
The photos posted are a couple of my favorites from her session. Thanks Catherine for inviting us to capture your bridal glow! :) The wedding was beautiful. We were glad to be there. Of course, it's such a strange feeling to "attend" a wedding without working. :)

We just shot an absolutely beautiful bridal session with Chevy. Her wedding is coming up in just a few short weeks. I would love to post a few images but it will have to wait until after the wedding. We can't take chance on her groom seeing the photos!

That's all for now. Until next time, be blessed.

Happy New Year!!!!!

Wow... 2008 is here. A new year, a new beginning. New goals, new dreams, new plans. I wish all of you a wonderful New Year. There are lots a great things in store for Dream Image this year. I hope to be able to post to this blog on a more regular basis. It's not quite a resolution.... but I'm making it a priority. The post may not always be about photography but may lean more towards the events of my personal life. For example... today I'm cooking the main dish for my family's New Year's Dinner! Let me just say that this is a HUGE HUGE thing for me. :) I'm not saying I'm a bad cook... I just don't do it on a regular basis. (I'm always WORKING.. ) So, to be cooking for at least 12 people is a big big deal. Luckily I have a great recipe from my Aunt Sadie that I've cooked enough times to know that it usually turns out pretty good. I just call it "Aunt Sadie's Chicken and Rice". I'm hoping it will turn out OK and that everyone will like it.

Well, the family dinner is at my Mom's house so I'd better be going. Wish me luck. :) Until next time, be blessed!
