Perfect strangers, instant friends!

We're always excited and a little anxious when we go to shoot a wedding without ever having met the couple! We've done this a few times before and it's quite exciting. Usually when the couple live out of town we do a lot of communicating through email. Such was the case with Andrea and Scott Neil. Andrea found us on weddingchannel.com, liked our worked and booked us sight unseen. I mostly communicated with Andrea's mom, Thala who lives in Florida. The wedding and reception took place at the Church of God in Lancaster, S.C. Andrea and Scott were a joy to work with. The wedding was a joyful event filled with love, love, love. It was so evident that these two share a special bond. Andrea's dad, Jack Owens catered the reception. He did a spectacular job. The food presentation was not only beautiful, but soooo delicious. We also met a special friend Joyceanne (that's probably spelled wrong). She was so gracious and helpful to us. She was the first person we met upon arriving. Within minutes of meeting, she had us laughing and feeling completely comfortable. A lot of the wedding guest traveled from

Ocala Florida. The event was one that we'll remember for quite some time. We had such a great time. Thanks to Andrea, Scott, Thala and Jack for inviting us to share in your day. We enjoyed meeting all of you.

The photos posted here are just a few from the day's events. It's a little sneak peak. We'll talk to you soon!

So I guess that's it for this blog. I'll be checking back in soon. Until next time, be blessed.

Keisha and Lem's Wedding

Keisha and Lem's wedding was a beautiful affair full of love, family friends and fun! The ceremony was held at Twigs Tempietto in Greenville, SC. on June 9th. The reception took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. We met a great new vendor friend at the Hyatt. Erika Eklof is the catering sales manager.
She did a terrific job with the reception! We also met a great team of cinematographers. Chris and Alyssa of Cinematic Impressions were great to work with. We hope we'll get to work with them again in the near future!

As you can see from the pictures posted, the wedding took place on a beautiful sunny day. I had a hard time deciding which photos to post here. These are just a few of my favs! Keisha was a beautiful bride... her dress was just the perfect dress for her. She accented it with a long white ribbon and a classic rhinestone pin. Gorgeous! The cake had the same ribbon and rhinestone accent. I thought it was lovely how she tied the two together.

A very special guest made and appearance at the reception. The "Bulldog" mascot from the college they attended entertained the crowd.

Thanks to Keisha and Lem for allowing us to document their big day. We had a wonderful time.

As we continue to move through this wedding season, we're so thankful for all of the people who support us and trust us with their memories. Words cannot really express the appreciation we have for all we've been blessed with. I pray for love and happiness for you all. Thanks for checking in and be blessed.

Travis' Graduation

Last weekend was hectic! On Friday we attended my younger cousin Travis' high school graduation! What an exiting day! My cousin Shawn, Travis' mom asked if I could bring my camera........ uhhmmm.... of course I'll bring the camera!

Anyway, watching Travis as he was surrounded by all of his family on such a great day was amazing. I just love joyful occasions. I guess that's why I love wedding photography so much. Here are a few pictures from the celebration on Friday!

Saturday we were in Spartanburg shooting the beautiful wedding of Marrissa and Gerard Walker. I'll post some images from the wedding soon.
It was another joyful occasion!

We're getting ready for the Wedding Festival next week here in Greenville! If you're coming to the show, be sure to stop by our booth. We excited about meeting all of the brides. We're currently booking for fall 2007 and spring 2008. If you know of brides coming to the show, tell them to come see us!

This coming weekend we'll be shooting the wedding of Keisha and Lem. It's sure to be another great event. I love shooting outdoor weddings!!! Keisha makes a beautiful bride. I wish I could post one of her portraits... but I'll have to wait until after the wedding. :)
