A Joyous Holiday Wedding!

Shooting Jason and Jessica's wedding the past weekend was a real joy. What a great couple! The wedding was small and intimate with family and close friends. We couldn't have asked for better group of people or better weather! One would not know from looking at the images that this was a December wedding! Well except for the photos that have Christmas decorations. :)

Jessica was a beautiful bride and Jason, a handsome groom. They made our job really easy. The location was the beautiful chapel at Furman University. The reception was held in the Garden Room decorated with a Christmas theme. The Band TNT was terrific!! I thought it was so great to be able to have Christmas songs played and sung at the reception. The cake was just scrumptious... yes we ate cake! Yum.

Here are just a few of the images captured last Sunday. Congratulations Jason and Jessica. Thanks for trusting us with your wedding day images. We're looking forward to talking with you soon.

Until next time-

Jessica and Jason

Well, we're down to our last wedding of the year. Jessica and Jason ( who are just a fabulous looking couple) will get married on Dec. 17th. I had fun shooting their engagement photos at Falls Park in Greenville, SC. Here's a few of my favorite images.

Trevor and Joy

We love them! They are the coolest couple. You know how sometimes you just click with people? Well that's the case here. We shot their engagement session today down at Falls Park in Greenville, S.C. It was a bit chilly, but we all braved the cold temperatures and got some great photos. They were willing to do whatever we asked...we love that! Talk about adventurous, Joy was a little upset that she was unable to climb one of the big beautiful trees at the park. Thanks to Joy and her eye for photography and scenery. Because she wanted to peek out from behind the brush, we got one of my all time favorite photographs to date!

It was great meeting Trevor for the first time. We had fun capturing and getting to know them better today. We're looking forward to their April 28th wedding next year!

Until next time.

James and Diane

James and Diane's wedding was held at Monks Grove Baptist Church in Spartanburg, S.C. The bride was beautiful in a dress designed and made especially for her by her Aunt. Her maid and matron of honor were her two sisters. The theme of the ceremony was "getting married in the park". The church was decorated beautifully and included an actual park bench on the pulpit. The alter was lined with trees and plants and two gorgeous lanterns with white candles inside.

Diane and James were a fun couple to work with. In the middle of the formal portraits, James started asking how much we charged per click of the camera. He then preceded to add each time the shutter clicked. It was funny. Considering how many photos we shoot at a wedding, it's a good thing for our clients that we don't charge by the click! :)

The photos posted are a few images from the day. Until next time. ~Stephenie

Joseph and Shavonda

We were so busy during the week of and the week after the Gary wedding, that we didn't get a chance to post any pictures. So this is a make up post! Shavonda and Joseph had a wonderful wedding! The reception was held at the Shrine Temple in Mauldin, S.C. It is a beautiful and majestic location. The floral designs were done by a family friend. (I can't remember his name) I told him that he should definitely go into business for himself. His work is just absolutely gorgeous! I would hire him in a minute! Until next time. ~ Stephenie

We'd like to welcome to our client list two new couples! Ebonise and Robert will be celebrating their nuptials this December at the Hilton in Greenville, SC. We're looking forward to what I'm sure will be a wonderful wedding! We're shooting their engagement portraits this weekend. Hopefully I'll get to post some of them next week! They're a great looking couple and I can't wait to capture their chemistry through photography!

Also, welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Logan! They will be renewing their vows next July in Sumter, SC. How romantic! This event is sure to be full of family, love and laughter. Thank you for inviting us to share in such a special event, and thanks to the bride's sister Felicia for recommending us!

I'll post some photos from last weeks wedding soon! Diane and James' ceremony was lovely. I must say, I absolutely LOVED the "getting married in the park" theme. The park bench, trees and garden around the pulpit was so inviting and beautiful. The pork chops at the reception were scrumptious! Yum..Yum. I enjoyed them so much, I had to try to make some myself two days later. I must say, mine were rather tasty too! Thank you guys for letting us capture it all.

I'll try to get some photos posted soon. Maybe later today. Until next time ~ Stephenie

The boy in the puppy suit!

It's almost Halloween and we had the pleasure of spending some time with little Roland Williams as he posed... well, sort of... for his Halloween pictures. :) This was really Roland and Tim's shoot. He (Timothy) is really good with kids... something about him that they can relate to. Maybe it's because he's really a big kid! The session went from "Halloween Costume Session" to "watch me move in my PJs!" He was a lot of fun! Once he got used to the camera and the basketball of course... he showed his "future Model" personality by striking all kinds of poses. Thanks to his parents for letting us capture their sweet little puppy boy! Until next time~Stephenie

Christopher and Tanika

Chris and Tanika's wedding was a FANTASTIC event!!! We enjoyed every minute of the day. The ceremony was held in the beautiful sanctuary of First Baptist of Mauldin. This day was all about love, family, friends and Music! And anyone that knows me, knows that I'm all about the music! Guest arrived early to witness the pre-ceremony musical tribute by Faith Davis. Tanika along with all of the guest were caught by surprise when Christopher grabbed a microphone and serenaded her as she and her father walked down the isle!

The reception was held at the Allen Temple Community development Center immediately following the ceremony. More friends, family and Music. The couple concluded the evening with a duet. They sang "For Always" by Atlantic Star before making their departure! We really enjoyed having Tanika and Chris as clients. Hope you guys have a blast on your honeymoon and we'll talk to you soon!

Until next time ~ Stephenie

Playing catch up!

OK... I'm obviously going to have to work a little harder at making regular posts! I've discovered lately that I could really use an assistant. We can all say that right? Well, until that day comes, I'll just do my best to keep up with it all! :)

So, Dream Image (we'll call ourselves "the dreamers") have been running practically non-stop lately. We had a great opportunity to attend a seminar last week where three of the industry's heavy weights shared their knowledge and advice.
Mike Colon (world renowned photographer and my professional hero!) Skip Cohen of WPPI and Jeff Jochum of Pictage. What an absolute treat and an invaluable experience! We learned so much and have already begun using the information in the business of Dream Image.

Timothy took this picture of me and Mike Colon. Mike was nice enough to autograph one of his DVD's for me. Thank you Mike for being so open with your knowledge and experience. I really admire your giving spirit.

Well, that's it for this post. There will be more to come! Until next time~ Stephenie

It's been a while!

OK... Keeping us with the blog has presented some challenges! Finding the time seems harder and harder these days. But I'm not complaining. We've been busy with Baby Shoots, toddler shoots and engagement shoots. Oh, and did I forget to mention the weddings!!! Our next wedding will be on October 21st! Tanika and Chris are tying the knot! Hopefully they'll give us permission to post some of their wedding photos on the blog. The week after, we'll be shooting Diane and James' wedding in Spartanburg.

I'd like to take a minute and just say THANK YOU to Karen. She has really been a tremendous help to us! The materials look great and her dedication is superb! Thanks Karen.

Well that's all for now. I'm gonna make an effort to keep up with the blog! :)

Until next time

Monday Already?

Wow, did this weekend fly past us! Thursday's Wedding Festival was actually the start of a very busy few days for us. We had a terrific time meeting all of the brides at the event. Thank you to Karen (our new marketing assistant) for all of your hard work! Words can't express my gratitude. Thank you to Kathy of "Kathy's Creations" catering for providing us with some yummy treats during the show. LOVED the shrimp dip! And thanks to Andrew of UpTown Entertainment for sending the brides our way! You know we do the same :).

Saturday was fast and furious. We were honored to shoot the wedding of Latoya and Kelly Brown in Pendleton, S.C. It was a beautiful ceremony! A beautiful bride, a handsome groom... who could ask for more? I must find the song the soloist sang during the ceremony. All of the music was just so fitting and beautiful. And I could listen to that string quartet all day long! Beautiful!!! I'll post some photos soon. We also shot the "50 and Fabulous" party of Angela, held at Ceaser's restaurant in Greenville, S.C. What a smashing event. We were glad to be able to capture the moments of the evening.

We'd like to welcome Marrissa to our client list! We're looking so forward to sharing in your wedding day. You guys make a beautiful couple and we're looking forward to getting to know you better.

Well that's it for now. Until next time!

We're still here

OK... finally, a minute to sit down a post to the blog! Since moving into the office and studio we've moving non-stop!!! The past few weeks have been extremely busy. The photos posted above are from the wedding on Dale and Rhonda Smith back in August. This was one of those weddings that didn't seem like any work at all. Timothy really did a great job with the images. His eye is incredible. I was a little nervous as I watched him walk around the edge of a drop- off trying to capture just the right shot of the couple as they exchanged vows. He managed to get some really beautiful Fine Art pieces.

Congrats to Shavonda and Joseph! We shot their wedding last weekend. The reception was held at the beautiful Shrine Temple. The grounds on the course are just breathtaking. I'm looking forward to shooting there again!

Well since the move, we've shot two bridal sessions in the new studio. Faye and Tanika both make the most beautiful brides. We're looking forward to the weddings. Thanks to both you for allowing us to be a part of your day! Can't wait to see the final bridals.

We're also preparing for the bridal show on Thursday! Be sure to come and see us at the Palmetto Expo Center from 4pm to 9pm. We've got some new packages and add-ons that will be available. We'll also be running some special promotions and will be giving away a FREE engagement session.

I guess that's all for now. Until next time.

Are we there yet?

OK, things are moving along with the new office and studio! Talk about hard work. But it will be worth it. We met with the first official clients to visit the office today. James and Charlene Sims came by to pick up their wedding pictures! Thanks for listening to me ramble on and on about everything and nothing! You guys were a treat to work with. We had the pleasure of shooting their wedding back in July. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast. The band was awesome and we found ourselves getting our boogie on! The photos above are some of my favorite images from the Sims wedding.

Until next time~
